This is just such an excellent idea, i love it! Accessible play for children with various health and mobility issues and its ideal because able bodied and less able bodied children can interact and play together as they should be able to.
Traditionally, playgrounds have emphasized physical ability, with swings, monkey bars, slides, and so forth. One key component that is associated with those features is climbing.
As a result, children who have mobility impairments may be left to linger at ground level while their peers dash and run to places where wheelchairs and walkers cannot access. Even for children who use leg braces, there may be other deterrents such as uneven ground
This initiative look like it is in Canada and i hope it is developed in the UK and other parts of the World also. This looks so much better than ...................
There was one built similar to this a few years ago in Appleton, WI. Amy Perry lead the job. She is an amazing lady with a wonderfull heart. A person I have great respect for who is also in a chair. Look her up, she was a Miss Wheelchair USA awhile back.
That is awesome! When I read the title I had a feeling it was something from Canada even though I've never heard of it before. Maybe it's because I have an "Access to Entertainment" card which'll allow me to bring a friend to the movies, science center, museums and other places for free!
