Thats interesting and great to hear that you had return and improvements 14 years later, after injury. It just shows the importance of not restricting yourself to a 2 year post injury limit of improvements.
Risingtide I appreciate the advice and glad I see things are still getting better for you. I was telling a friend of mine who I met while at NHR in DC to not give up and to listen to what a lot of these doctors say. He was told that whatever he had at 1 year post injury is all he would ever get back and he was getting really depressed the closer that year mark got. He is the same injury level as me. Well right after the 1 year anniversary he was able to start moving his left hand for the first time since his accident. Risingtide I have very minimal leg movement right now so not running yet. The weekend before my accident I had bougboug a brand new pair running shoes. I had been bulking up all winter and spring and was ready to lose some of the unwanted extra weight I had put on. I have pretty much a whole gym in my basement.i just needed to add a leg press which I still am going to do but I'm looking for a horizontal one now. Is anyone in the DC or Northern Virginia area? Just looking to see if I can get a few more people together to hang out once or twice a month
I'm a C6. Everyone I have met with my injury level has little to no hand movement ... Is there anyone out there like me?
A friend my age was C5/6 and she had full use of her arms and hands. She said the doctors were very surprised.
I am a level C5/C6 Incomplete and I have most use of my left hand full use of my arms except limited triceps and i use tenodesis for my right hand I have small amounts of movement in my right leg but no real use out of it.

Well it's not a speedy recovery lol. I think we all know this much. You have to teach yourself to love the process without the expectation of results. It's a mindgame too. You just have to stay in the here and now. When you really don't want to work it, that's the most important time to get to it. Do something every day, every single day. It's an injury that we have to live with until the day we die, so it is something that can be improved upon until the day we die. Just stay positive...a new one i just hammered out a couple of days ago. Enjoy:) https%3A//soundcloud.com/jayrockskee/beyond-sight

Glad to see you back as well risaj and glad to hear that you've been busy with school! I was busy with school last semester and the semester before the summer but I've taken this semester off due to other important commitments. Will be going full time starting September (and courses over the summer). Just want to get highschool done with and go to university!
