Thank you for reminding me I still have options Wavewolf. I think a lot of my problem with AFO's is uneven ground. I have been wearing a newer sock with the brand name Smoothtoe they are a "diabetic" type sock as well. No seam in the toe with different compression levels. graduatedcompressionsocks.smoothtoe.com/about-smoothtoe/technology/
I wore my braces twice yesterday for about 4hrs. total. I can say the braces fit better now, and if I can hold the horses back awhile longer, I should be fine.
kilg0retr0ut, this sounds very hopeful!!!! When I looked back at the videos of your gait, got message "doesn't exist", so I guessed I missed your debut! The Smoothtoe socks look very fine: no abrasion from seams, light support (I need around 18-20mmHg) with support in mid-foot (this is critical for me!), and Coolmax (my favorite wicking fabric). Here's to successful walking and no complications!

You didn't miss much Wavewolf The goal was 4hrs, my skin seems to be holding up. I even made a final tweak to them using a hair dryer as Jeff67 recommended. The socks are great although a bit pricey. I had to put the video on youtube to be able to put it here, and for my orthodic friends to eyeball. I didn't figure it would be useful to leave up. Thanks always for your kindness. Mark
Glad to hear that the Phat Braces are working out man! Post as many videos as you want brother. I think it is good for those considering the braces as well as people that are new to the SCI life to see there is hope. I started my YouTube channel just for that reason. 19 years ago I had no one to talk to, there was no YouTube and I feel like a lot of years was somewhat wasted. I want to put as many videos up as I can of walking in different scenarios. Maybe we should get some commission from the Phat Brace corporate office LOL

Jeff,
We are very lucky my friend. I'm not much of a youtuber or facebooker, but I'd like to post a video here once I break them in. The braces can take almost anything, my legs not so much. I have a bad ankle that needs fixing which means an operation and I'm hesitant, it may not work, I'd be pooched. I going on to see my GP tomorrow, maybe he'll have some input.
