Its wonderful that these engineering students were able to design and build this electric wheelchair for this little guy who is just 3 years old...But the great news is that it is also affordable at just $495, which is pretty amazing!
Motorized wheelchairs for younger children already exist, but they can end up costing upwards of $15,000 which many families can’t afford even with health care—and the Jensens need two of them. And they’re often so large they require expensive modifications made to a home in order to be used.
So these guys have done amazing!
