I'm still recovering from my operation from a fall last year! Taken me a while too get my mind being in a wheelchair! But as I am getting better, I have noticed you go 10 steps forward in treatment eg Psysio but get pushed back 10 steps? why? You keep calling local authority? Keep saying get back too you? You call PALS no answer? Some doctors say one thing others say other? Then I start thinking is there any hope?

Can I ask if you have spent any time in rehab and what is your injury level? Unfortunately some doctors are just not specialized enough..

I still don't know what has happened after my opp? As different gps say different things? I haven't stood up since opp! But have improved a lot! I was in rehab but was really ill! Was refered too stoke madiville! But still waiting! It's been a journey but thanx too my psysios support things looking up! But shame as more can be done!

If you have not been to a rehabilitation unit yet, it isnt good enough. You need to go to your docs and tell ( dont ask-tell) that you need a quick referral to the spinal unit, if Stoke Manderville is busy you can be referred to a different one.

If you need help or support I will help you and write to your doctor on your behalf. Nothing upsets and angers me more than someone in your situation not getting the correct help and support.

General doctors, are just that, general, people with SCI need specialist help

I can imagine how frustrating it is for you not getting the right/consistent answers!

Thank you guys great support coming from you! I'm gaining sensation do it's slow but better then last year! My Psysio is really happy with my progress! But still so many set backs! It's discusting as you get pushed back!

Don't forget to keep a journal so you can see how far you have come and how much improvements you have made, especially over a long period of time
