Yes Lαrα, I do believe it is the same. I sure would like to get on the trial list and get me one of those! I would be fine with normal bowel/bladder function for sure!
Imagine the queue wavewolf, lol i think there are 2,000 people signed up for trials and its not surprising, it looks like the most positive direction with some hope of improvements
DJ, I hope you get a shot at recovery of function!!! Lαrα, the queue for B&B fixing would be huge, but I don't think that is among the benefits of epidural stimulation quite yet. There is something designed especially to help with bladder control--see www.webmd.com/urinary-incontinence-oab/electrical-stimulation-for-urinary-incontinence. But the results have been mixed, and equipment not so reliable.
DJ, now I have to look into this, since it appears I am in error about results! But with my convoluted medical issues, I probably would not be selected for clinical trials or given treatment covered by insurance. When I have applied for other promising clinical trials, I was deemed either too sick or too high risk--kind of the same thing, I suppose.
