Dear Forum Members,

My name is Nicole and I am an 11th grade student in an Anatomy and Physiology class. For this semester, we are researching chronic conditions and mine is a paraplegic spinal cord injury. I would really appreciate some answers to the following questions to help me further understand this condition and how it affects the lives of those who have it as well as family and friends.

How was this injury obtained? What kinds of adjustments have been made to assume daily life? What kinds of assistive devices are available? How has this injury changed relationships in families and friends? What have you done to rise above and stay strong in sustaining this injury?

Also, if anyone has more information or would like to share personal experiences, please do so!
