Wow its gorgeous...I wonder if there is a reason it hasn't been on my radar here wavewolf,
DJ, the idea of independent chair repairs is absolutely a business opp...perhaps alongside bike repairs
padd, It may be hard to find a dealer. I tried the Panthera at a disability expo, and there was a manufacturer's rep there. You might want to write them to ask about where to buy.
Combining chair and bike repair could be a wonderful business! My local bike shop handles basic wheelchair repairs, but they have no clue when it comes to making fitting adjustments. If you learn this aspect, or have OT as consultant when business grows, that would be awesome! Also, keeping wheelchairs at senior residences in good form could be part of the "bread and butter" to get started.
wavewolf , too bad I am not mechanically inclined!
Ah, I thought you were considering this as a potential business. I love mechanical repairing, and have done this for a senior residence--going independent means carrying prohibitive liability insurance, so decided against pursuing.
padd I was at lyndhurst but didn't get to meet with a tech at Motion so didn't get the opportunity to ask about what carbon fibre chairs they offered. I'll be back soon though so I'll ask when they're there.
