kilg0retr0ut, I find it most impressive how decisively the French president has acted. I hope it will not take an attack like this in the USA to get our leader to acknowledge the threat of radical Islam here.
And Australia is now on full alert, I can not comprehend acts like this in the world today. We had a 15 year old Iraqi boy gun down a police employee a few weeks ago, not a police officer, a police accountant. And the 15 year was shot dead, what a waste of two lives.

I read an article a few days ago that tells of islamic group in Australia called the hizb ut-tahrir are feeling criminalized by your goverment from it's anti- terror laws. They say the have to obey the laws and even accept Australian values. This group supports the islamic caliphate and sharia law. Most countries ban this group.
Sorry I can't share the article, but I have a new laptop and haven't figured out how. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this so close to home Butiki. These peckerheads come to your country then pitch a fit because they have to obey laws. Makes me sick.
Crazy what happened... I just hope everything will calm down.
I feel safe in my small town in Switzerland, but going to London with my sister next weekend worries me a bit. but you know, I also don't want to give them so much power over me. if we'd cancel our trip they'd win. they want people to be scared and hide.

Exactly! Love that thinking, that's the same way I feel. A lot of people over here are scared of letting the refugees in because they fear that there'll be some ISIS members but why stop a whole bunch of innocent people from coming in with the fear that there might be some bad apples? If ISIS wants to attack they'll do it one way or another. I'm glad our new government has decided to stick with their promise to accept 25,000 refugees despite the recent attacks.

Good for you jubejube! We can't let them win. I agree with Dj, helping the refugees is the right thing to do. I think the only way to fix this mess is through education.
