Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Daniela and I work as a carer after spinal cord injuries.
I have done a lot of research and read a book about aloe vera versus different health issues.
Because of the area I work for I would like to know if there is anyone who used the topical aloe vera products in connection with pressure sores and constipation. I have done a lot of reading about it and would like to know personally opinion of people related to it (if it benefit them and how were their experiences) - I don't want to have it just from books.

While a healthy balanced diet often provides a source of vitamins and minerals, taking dietary supplements on top of your healthy diet may prove beneficial in ensuring your body may be the nutrients it needs each day.

But be sure to check what is actually in the supplements, many times you'll be surprised. For recent pressure sores, they have used a product called Medhoney on me with good results. I've used Aloe for sunburn and it works well, as for other things I haven't heard, but would be interested in it's other uses.
I had a pressure sore recently and I used A&D on it which cleared it up in a couple of weeks. It was stage 1.
Well done and thankyou for sharing KarenH! I am a fan of Aloe Vera and use it for many things, you can purchase 100% pure Aloe Vera and/or buy the plant..It has it own healing properties and moisturizes the skin.
I wouldn't rely on it to heal any developed pressure sore but it will help with skin shearing etc.
