Some of you might remember me posting about attempting to thru hike the 2150 mile Appalachian Trail in 2014. I made it 850 miles into Virginia before completely tearing my right hip flexor and right groin muscles. Both of which were caused by putting too much strain on muscles that were dormant for over a decade and atrophied. If you've read my posts then you know that I was totally paralyzed on my right side for 14 years before regaining movement in all of my extremities. It's not perfect but I'm still working hard at it and still seeing positive results.
Anyway, after over a year of therapy on the hip and groin I'm as ready as I'll ever be to finish this journey. I plan on leaving for the trail on June 8th. I'm getting right back on in Virginia where I got off and finishing at Mt. Katahdin in Maine sometime in October. Unfortunately the cost of the hike is a little out of my reach after I buy the new gear that I'll need. I have just not been able to put back money to save for this, so I have begun an indigogo fundraiser campaign to hopefully cover the financial remainder I'll need to complete the hike. Please go and read about it and give a little if you can, and if you can't afford to give, then please share it with somebody that you think might. Post it on your facebook. Help a brotha from anotha motha out lol. Thank you! The link is below...

Haha yea it's a grueling experience, even for somebody without physical barriers to overcome, but it's a luxury to have the ability to push myself once again. As for the fundraiser, I doubt anything will come of it. it's still sitting on a big fat zero. It's what you would call a hail mary, but screw it, why not try. it's the only way I'll be able to do it. No shame in my game. Thanks for reading Lara https%3A//soundcloud.com/jayrockskee/kundalini
