My best friend is a wheelchair user and her birthday is coming up. She is turning 31 and I want to get her clothing. She has a bit of anxiety when it comes to clothing cause the only thing she feels comfortable in is sweatpants and a hoodie but wants to be able to dress up. Anyway, after having this conversation with her I looked into adaptive clothing. Since she is only 30 most of the adaptive clothing places such as Abledenim and Silverts seem very old-fashioned and daggy. The only one I've found that I like is IZ Collection, they have a tonne of really cool stuff and possibly the only website that looks aesthetically pleasing.
Has anyone purchased from IZ Collection before? I'm not a wheelchair user myself so I'm still not 100% sure how adaptive clothing is that beneficial so any feedback would be amazing. Also, if you could recommend any others like IZ Collection?
Hi alyssa , some clothes are more suitable for wearing whilst in a chair than others. There are additional considerations that are quite simple really but other than that, most people wear the regular clothing. Some clothes are not practical but that may be personal to the individual especially if there are continence issues or stomas and leg bags etc.
I haven't been to IZ yet but I've heard good things about it. I want to go check it out and see what they have. I think if you know your friends style you should be able to go in and pick out what you think she likes. From what I've heard, they're got a fairly big variety of clothing especially for women.
I think I'm going to go with www.izcollection.com, I read a bunch of reviews and people are saying amazing things about their Jeans and they offer a pretty good return policy so I'll give them a try. Hopefully, she likes them
