I have been suffering back pain for a number of years and after a recent MRI on my Lumbar Spine, I was diagnosed with having two mild disc herniations. I am unsure the number-letter combo but know they are bottom two large discs.
The past month or so I have noticed a very faint numbness in my right index and middle finger that is constantly there.
Just last week my legs have been slightly tingling and sometimes feel weak, this is a constant from awaking until bed. I would not describe this as a muscle weakness as I am still able to stand and walk without fatigue in my legs. This sensation is greatest when I bend my neck forward, I will feel a rush of sensation in my glutes, legs and feet. This is a stronger sensation when I have been sitting for a while and sometimes standing. I will often awake in the middle of the night after hours of sleeping on my side with a pillow between my legs to the same strong sensation when I again bend my neck forward. These symptoms are first for me with my back injury. I have seen my family doctor who is referring me to physio (something I am no stranger to) to hopefully curb the tingling/sensation. Can someone offer similar experiences to this? I would assign the symptoms to my back injury but the neck movement affecting my lower body cause me think it may be something else unrelated to my back.
