Hello everyone. I work at a research center and we need volunteers with SCI for whom bowel function is a challenge, in order to help us in our effort of developing a new and easy to use bowel care device for use by people with SCI and neurologic diseases such as ALS, Parkinson's etc. who suffer from neurogenic bowel and constipation or incontinence. It also works well for people who are just plain constipated, but we are doing this for the SCI specifically. That is right We are about a year out from getting this thing approved by the FDA if all goes as planned We are a not-for-profit organization, and have done some good work in the past. No need for digital stimulation, Bisacodyl suppositories, enemas, laxative pills, anything by mouth etc. Diet rich in fiber would help but is also not required. So far we have had great success with this.
If you live within 60 miles of New York city and want to do a research study let me know. It requires 7 visits of about 90 minutes each. You will get reimbursed for this. 4/26/2018
