i met my friend, Wes Adams in 1983. He was paralyzed in an accident when he was 16. When I met him and his wife, Jane, who is now deceased, Wes had become the pastor of a small fellowship church in Olathe, Kansas. He's a teacher by trade. He is a scholar in New Testament something-or-other. So I guess it's Dr Wes Adams. He taught college courses when I first met him. He was very helpful to others with spinal Cord injuries. Wes is a very disciplined guy. I wish I could do that. He just wrote a fantastic book on the subject. He's written several books, but this one is on facing a debilitating spinal injury. My sister is now in a wheelchair because of her spine. She had surgery at Barnes Jewish hospital that helped a lot. She had been bedridden for five years before that. Of course she had mental health issues because of that too. One other friend died after many years of paralysis from a football injury. My neck injury is not bad. It's more like pinched nerves than severed ones. That was a cervical spine injury from a fall. Other than numb hands and arm pain, it's no big deal. I'm glad I found this web site.
