You said in another thread that gabapentin has no effect on your spasms. So you are only referring to the zanaflex?
Yes, a few have reported improvement with CBD oil though there is nothing dependable about that from one individual to another. One must simple experiment.
Peter is trial-ing CBD oil as we read such good things about it and wondered if it would help muscle pain levels and muscle tightness. So far (couple of weeks) I can't say there is much difference - but as no side effects seems worth carrying on for a while longer. Also we are unsure of dosage. He is only taking a couple of drops a couple of times a day so maybe needs to increase. Will report back if any improvement. Lots of people report that it worked for them - as always what works for one doesn't for another. Compiler - are you getting some help with stretching the muscles that spasm? Are you moving about as much as you can, even when you don't feel like it? For Peter, stretching really helps and also frequent movement - even just moving feet and ankles helps. Also positioning - crooked lying in bed (raised head and shoulders and pillows under knees) and an electric recliner chair make a huge difference too. Experiment to find best position for you - the reclining chair was the only place Peter could sleep for a good while after his op. Wishing you luck - the spasticity did improve over time for Peter but not sure whether it was how he managed it or if it would improve anyway.
