"Accomable is a service to help people with mobility difficulties find accessible properties around the world. Our mission is to enable anyone to go anywhere."
Also might be helpful I found this site through a Facebook group called Accessible Travel Group. People ask about accessible accommodation, how accessible a city is etc etc and the idea is that local people or people who have visited share their knowledge. This is from the site: "The purpose of this group is to share practical advice and support with accessible travel and accessible travel ONLY. No rants either please! :-) Sorry to sound patronising, but I'm keen for this group to be full of great practical advice to help us all travel."
I found this blog through the site. Useful mainly to UK users. It's written by a couple who travel with a wheelchair and their experience of different towns and cities mainly across the UK. Lots of info about seaside and coastal places. www.thebimblers.com/about/

Haha Tetra - is my travel lust showing through a bit? We are getting out more now and have a week at the seaside booked for September - we found a lovely house on a clifftop through this travel site. I am hoping that Peter will be persuaded to try something more adventurous soon. So meantime I am travelling vicariously and looking at travel blogs etc.

delboy , Malta sounds amazing! I had a look at some pictures and it's now on the list (!) What is Maltese food like - what is a typical dish?
Oh where shall i start. Here are the most favourite traditional dishes
Fenkata. rabbit fried in local wine and garlic. Stuffat tal Qarnita. Octopus stew Bigilla. Crushed nuts in olive oil and vinegar. We also love our sea food platters. tuna and swordfish, clams etc. A very common dish for september is the lampuki. The blue dolphin fish served with green peppers and cappunata.
Then there is the usual pizzas, KFCs and mc donalds.
Seafood is always a favorite with me - the fresher the better! I love the sound of the Fenkata rabbit stew. It used to be a very common (and cheap) food back in the olden days when I was a youngster. Now it's not so popular which is a shame as it's totally delicious.
