Welcome wheelbill, I know that I have seen a video on here that explains a little bit about how to get a proper fit for a new wheelchair. I hope that it helps you. And again , Welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the welcome. I amc5-6 complete. 6 years post injury. I have been using permobil c300. What is your experience with a standing chair. I have not had real good success with a standing frame so I am a little hesitant.
I have liked my permobil if you can say you like a chair. Lol. This is my first chair so I did not know what it would've likeling term. With the information that I have now I am looking at a quantum edge. Do you know anything about chairs with a standing feature?
never tried them and only discovered them recently and they look way more healthy than sitting chairs because of the use of your legs more. also I hear they are better for pressure sores but this chair would probably only be effective for those of us that have a satisfactory use and feeling in their legs.
I am more worried about passing out. Every time I get in a standing frame my blood pressure goes down. I am thinking sitting or reclining may be the bestway forward.

I currently have a Permobil M300 but I have tried the Permobil standing chair in the past and I didn't like it. Getting to the standing position felt very strange and once I was up, it was kinda a scary unsupported feeling. I like my standing frame a lot more. However, everyone is different so if there's a vendor out there that does trials of the standing chair, I'd highly suggest you try it!
I know what you mean. Standing even in the frame feels unnatural and unsupported. I know it is better long term but I feel a lot more secure sitting in a chair fulltime.
