Hello all, first post. My wife's nephew, age 34, was involved in a single car crash in 2004. He sustained a severed spinal cord resulting in paralysis from the waist down. A few years later he had both legs amputated because of life threatening sores that wouldn't heal. He now lives in a nursing home and is almost completely immobile now because he weighs around 250. He does have a pull up bar and does wrist exercises( has a grip like a vise) but he needs cardiovascular.I thought maybe someone here might know of some kind of exercise device he can use to increase his heart rate and lose weight. He does have bouts of depression and I think he would feel better if he were more mobile and could easily go from bed to wheel chair and back. I really like this guy and I want to help. Does anyone here know of such a device or have other thoughts/advice that might help?
