The past year I've been noticing a sensation that comes and goes throughout the day. It's inside the abdomen on the right side, sometimes it feels like a sharp pain and sometimes it feels like a pressure
Someone told me that's the location of the liver? I was curious if anyone has ever experienced a similar pain and what you think it might be?
"Right side abdominal pain is commonly caused by conditions such as appendicitis, gallstones, kidney stones, constipation, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cyst troubles, endometriosis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, trapped wind, kidney infection, pulled muscles, hepatitis, and a number of other rarer diseases." hi monarch, not sure if these conditions are possible with you or apply but a start. I bet its gas
monarch77, I get a similar pain and associate it with gas and/or bladder. I have a gallstone and when it plays up the pain goes from left low back all the way up to my left shoulder, so I doubt you have that. Liver pain I usually feel on right side, level with my waist, but towards the back, not front.
As a test, Monarch, if you will buy some high quality apple juice and drink quite a bit of it for a couple of days, you might find out if gallstones are the problem. The apple juice would soften the stones, giving you temporary relief from a stone stuck in the duct. Do, please, get high quality apple juice,...not the highly sweetened 'apple juice' from concentrate. That stuff gives me a headache and makes me 'sick as a dog'. Locally, I get Martinelli's unfiltered apple juice, R.W. Knudsen, or one of the Whole Foods gallons. I prefer unfiltered with No sugar added. ...or eat apples.
My consultant thought I had gallstones but the CT scan showed nothing. Monarch, does the pain worsen when you press it? What is your level of injury? Does the pain cause autonomic dysreflexia?

I'll try that out for the next few days and see what happens! Thanks

When I press it/massage it it's sensitive, but oddly feels better than just leaving it alone.
In the hospital they categorized me as a C7 injury, but I'm paralyzed in some of my abdomen and the waist down. I never got autonomic dysreflexia
Mikeq, CT scans won't always show gallstones, even when you do have them. Gallstones don't have to be rock-hard and calcified in order to cause trouble. The 'stones' can be lumps of cholesterol (not calcified stones), yet block (or slow) the flow of bile. Please Google 'radiolucent gallstones missed'.
The solution, in my opinion, is to do a "liver flush". Please Google "liver flush" (and I'm not talking about the colorful little expensive bottles of drops and boxes that come up at the top of the Google search). A real liver flush takes at least a day and a half of your life ---but so much better than going to the hospital to have a gallbladder removal.

So I've been taking malic acid tablets for the past week. The pain in my right side is gone to about half. These seem to be helping!
You've done something important. Gallstone pain can be incapacitating. I suggest you look up "liver flush". Done properly, this expells debris from the gallbladder and liver, leaving you with nice clean ducts. "Fruits in general have malic acid, but it's especially abundant in apples. Ninety-four to 98 percent of apple's total acid comes from malic acid, according to Bartek.ca. Watermelon is another great source of malic acid, with 85 to 95 percent of the total acid content. Apricots, bananas, blackberries, cherries, grapes, kiwi, lychees, mango, nectarines, oranges, peaches, pears and strawberries are other fine choices." www.newsmax.com/FastFeatures/malic-acid-benefits-foods-highest-concentration-diet/2015/04/01/id/635741/
Talk about treat like with like. I used to suffer from oesophageal reflux, causing acid indigestion. I found quite by accident that eating apples calmed all the acidity down. It's weird because apples can be quite acidic.
