Hi, my name is Patty and my daughter Tylena had a spinal stroke a couple weeks before her 12 th birthday on June 2, 2017. Her level of injury was T10 and everything below it. It left her paralyzed from the waist down.
We just finished inpatient rehab with Kennedy Krieger by John Hopkins. She has very slight improvement and is able to move her right toes and foot a little bit. She can sling her right leg forward using her hip muscle, but can bear no weight.
We live in NC, but are still in Md waiting on a few test to be completed and to do intensive outpatient therapy for 2 more weeks. We are still trying to figure why this happened as she has no trauma. She is having an angiogram done on the 21st.
