Has anyone had bariatric surgery - either gastric sleeve or roux-en-y? I'm considering it and would like to know how post-surgical return to normal-for-sci bowel function went.
So I went ahead and had (gastric sleeve) bariatric surgery about ten days ago. Things have been complicated by the discovery of a new crop of allergies which have made compliance with the recommended diet basically impossible thus far, but otherwise I think I have done a pretty sensible thing.

Anne, I am glad you are ok. New dietary problems- isn't that just par for the course! I hope you find a nutritional path at serves you and keeps you healthy.
I step in the water, but the water has moved on...
I’m very relieved. I basically had medical restrictions on activity for about 2.5 years, and coupled with a perilous fondness for dark chocolate and eating habits based on being very active, I got so far behind the curve weight-wise this seemed like the most efficient approach.
please go to www.bariatriceating.com for advice and support. It's apparently a brilliant website for people who have had bariatric surgery. All the best.
