After all of my life using a basic wheelchair and a regular mobile scooter, I wanted something more. Something which could provide freedom. Freedom to do what seemed impossible all of my life.
For example, going to the beach and actually being able to ride on the beach without assistance and without having to worry if I'm going to get stuck or not. Last year I was able to do this.
After many months of researching outdoor mobility vehicles for the disabled, I cam upon a device called the TerrainHopper. The company is located in the UK (Now available in the US as well). I took the plunge and purchased the TerrainHopper Mini. Since I'm not the size of a full size male/female.
In Short, I will tell you that this engineering marvel is one of a kind. If you search for TerrainHopper on youtube, you will be able to see for yourself how powerful, versatile, stylish, and gentle, this one of a kind mobility vehicle really is.....
I have videos of myself on the beach going through the water with no issues. It has Joystick steering as well. It is four wheel drive with Patented dual suspension.
This device has provided me with complete freedom to now roam trails, mud, snow, beach sand, rocks, anything....its really a miracle.
Check out some of the pictures of me on this thing.
Thank you vintage. I'm truly blessed that this mobility vehicle is available. I'm not sure many people are aware of it, since it took me a lot of research to even find it.
Here are two videos of me driving in the Ocean at Wells beach that same day. I was a little brave.....the kids were too.....maybe a little too brave...ha.....but I made it in and out with no issues. This device has changed the game. If anyone would like to know anything about the TerrainHopper, ask away and I will try and provide you with the most complete answers I can.
I will watch them tomorrow with gusto. Right now I'm in a lot of pain and can't enjoy anytthing. Even if I can never get one, I smile that you've gotten to reclaim this little piece of happiness.

Thanks for sharing Cypher! It is looking very attractive. I was searching for such wheelchair since long. I am using a basic wheelchair. But with this, I find difficulty in beaches, sand, etc. Looking forward to use TerraineHopper. It would be a great help if you share its cost.
Yes Cyper1, I likey also and agree with all the other comments. That's mighty boss lookin'. I'd like to know how many bones it'd set me back too. Could you divulge?
Checked out their website. Looks like their "Mini" starts out at $16,500 and the 4ZS begins at $17,500. That's awfully nice and I can see how it can liberate one to explore previous places prevented with w/c. I'm glad it does that for you. Sadly the price of such things prevents many from doing it. Impressive though. Very impressed with it.
