I meant to post this a few days ago but here it is for those who haven't heard.
People with disabilities will no longer go straight to the front of lines at Disneyland and Walt Disney World after growing abuse of the system, park officials said.
Under the change, visitors will be issued tickets with a return time and a shorter wait similar to the FastPass system that's offered to everyone.
Currently, visitors unable to wait in the regular line can get backdoor access to rides or go through the exit and wait in a shorter line.
The system "certainly has been problematic, and we wanted to curb some of the abuse of this system," Disneyland Resort spokeswoman Suzi Brown told the Orange County Register.

Who would abuse something like that? Wait...I know... the same dirtbags who abuse the parking placards, the same lowlifes who abuse social security. Makes me want to swing, and not on the playground. Sorry, haven't had my coffee yet, and my wife says I'm alittle cranky in the morning.

What used to happen was that disabled people would get the fast pass and get to skip the whole line. But their 'family' would also get to skip with them. So to make a quick buck, a handicapped person would tag along with other ppl so they could skip the whole line as the handicapped persons family. In return for being a human fast pass, the fake family/friends would pay the disabled person up a $1000 per a day.
Its easy to blame to point blame here but remember none of it would it possible without the handicapped persons participation. In a way, a few handicapped people ruined it for all of us.

I was thinking people faking in chairs, is there something they use to verify a handicap? $1000.00 is alot of money, I can see where it might become a grey area. If my family didn't have food, I might make it my job. As far a the parking goes and soc.sec.it does make it harder for the legit.
I was wondering about this too. I mean other than me being in my chair, I don't have anything stating my disability so how do they verify whether or not someone's disabled?

I'm sure they have to get a doctors note or something along those lines. So its most likely actual gimps abusing the system. We ain't all angels. Bigger problem would be verifying if his companions were actually family/friends or just people paying to hang out with the gimp to take advantage of his fast pass.
