A Poem For The Holidays

Twas the night before Christmas

And all through the house

Not a creature was stirring

Not even a mouse



The wheelchair sits empty

Next to the bed

As the quad lay there sleeping

Thanks to the THC in his head



Thinking back on this year

Eff’d up as it’s been

Good times are coming

I’ll be chillin in my den



I’m looking at a new van

You know, one with a ramp

Something I can give a ride to

Even a tramp



I’ll be riding in style

Right from my chair

I doubt the chicks will pay any mind

I have no hair



The holidays, this time of year

Have a cool vibe

It’s fun to see the relatives

Converse with the tribe



Pretty sure Santa got me some gifts

Maybe some weed

But if not it’s ok

I’ve got no greed



So here’s hoping all of you folks

Have a good new year

If you have a bad day

Have 3 or 4 beer



If you’re a quad, para, or some other gimp

Don’t worry, don’t fret

Life goes on

On that you can bet



If I get parked in, one more time

I may just snap

And run a sharp key along the paint

Of the car owned by that chap



If we don’t do anything, it will keep happening

Can’t just stand by

Do something to make them notice

Give it a try



So have a good Christmas

My fellow cripples
