I am on gabapentin 1200 mg x 3 times a day to try and control the chronic nerve pain that I have. I have gained 40 lbs in the last 4 years. It makes it harder to get around. It makes stretching harder as well as other daily routines. It doesn’t make a person feel very good about the way they look either.
I am wondering if anyone has been able to lose weight that has occurred because of medication? Can anyone show some exercises for someone that can walk with a walker? Exercises for the stomach would be appreciated too.
Ohhh.... I gained almost 20 pounds on gabapentin!!! It was the only medication I was on. My physiatrist agreed and said some people react that way to it (and also lyrica). He switched me to zonisamide and I have lost the 20 pounds. Hope this helps... good luck!!!

I will have to see if that is available in Canada. I’ve never heard of it. I sure hope so :-)
