Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find any info related to this matter.
I would like to know if there are people (quads) who can drive a car with very little tricep strength. I'm a quad, I can handle the steering wheel but my triceps dont respond well.
I'm currently working and I really feel the need to drive. It would change my life a lot!
Hello again, Born2tilt. Nice to see you. I Googled “quadriplegic driving” and found lots of nice youtube videos. I think I watched this one a while back and liked it,...or maybe it was the same guy, in his previous video. Anyway, it would be nice if someone here could talk to you about it, but it’s more likely that you’ll see someone’s video that’s already online with injuries and abilities close to yours.
Hello, I’m a quad as well with very little triceps on the left (minimal) and good tricep on the right. If your question is regarding hand controls then the easiest one I have found is the push/rock hand controls. I found it very easy compared to the regular ones

My life would be quite a bit harder if I could not drive, and did not have a car! I hope that you will find a way!
By all means do whatever you have to to drive for me it's the most liberating thing to do by myself without any help from anybody else I'm getting ready to go for a cruise on a nice sunny day today to a park or it's just going to be me some weed and some pop and then I'm going to go over my friends house and smoke some more weed but it's just me driving there listening to Tunes with the window cracked a little bit and enjoying my life get behind the wheel
