We've got the Commonwealth Games being run over here at the moment and the disabled athletes are also competing during the games. Its been fully integrated and our local tv channels are giving them a lot of air time. I'm not sure if the disabled medals have been counted in the whole medal tally in previous games but they are now.
It would be great if this could happen at the Olympics too There is little tv coverage of the paralympics, so if it were combined, then it would show how great the paralympians are... it would bring more focus to the disabled of our world and show that being disabled doesnt mean we're not 'less than'.
