I belong to a Facebook group called Accessible Travel Club. One of the members, Suzanne Edwards is arranging a round table/focus group for Airbnb in London. Details below. I asked her if I should share with this group as she isn't a member (although she does have a spinal injury) and she is enthusiastic about getting to as many people with accessibility requirements as possible.
Hi, it's Suzanne from Airbnb again... this time seeing if anyone from or around London would be interested in taking part in a research/focus group we are running on the 26th April. You will get a £250 Amazon gift card for your time (£200+ an extra £50 added to the gift card to cover travel costs)
Full details including a quick eligibility survey are below:
Airbnb is working to create a more inclusive travel community. We need your help in order to do this. On April 26th our internal research team will be running focus groups with persons with disabilities in order to learn more about how we can support and foster better travel experiences. The roundtable will be in-person on April 26th from from 4:00PM-8:00PM at a WeWork near Liverpool Street. Dinner and refreshments will be provided.
We would like for you to participate! To show our appreciation, each participant will receive £200 Amazon.co.uk gift card for participating. We will also subsidise any travel costs for the participants and any personal care assistants accompanying by adding an additional £50 to the gift card. Please also rest assured that all information collected will be kept strictly confidential and used only internally within Airbnb to make the platform better for disabled people.
The following 3-minute survey will help us gauge your eligibility for our research interview. If you are a good fit for this study we will email you with a confirmation of time and additional details early next week.
