I was feeling terrible one night and my GF at the time had to take me to the ER. When I got there I was running a very high fever around 103. The Doctor came in and was asking a series of questions. One of the questions I remember was "Sir, are you "socially" active? My response as a proud independent wheelchair user was: "OH YEAH, I'm very socially active" as I looked at my GF with a big grin. Doctor just kind of looked at me and went on to the next question. To make a long story short, when the doctor left the room, my GF asked me if I understood one of the questions the doctor asked me? I said, well, I think I did. She said he asked if you were "sexually" active and you said "OH YEAH, I'm socially active!!!" Needless to say, when the Doctor came back in the room, I could not look him in the face!!! To this day, I blame it on the high fever!!!! lol

I have been asked this question in hospital a few times too. I had really bad orchitis once due to my catheter that in those days was urehthral inserted. I was asked a few times about my sex life and could I possibly have a STD. These questions are always embarrassing but to miss understand it like you even more so. My latest a few months ago was getting a peristeen anal plug lost up my anus. I swear the whole medical staff had a go at trying to get it out. O well all part of life now.
Oh heck, I have too many embarassing moments, being prodded and examined in the most private of places by different male consultants/doctors etc...They tend to begin with 'can you feel this or can you 'squeeze'
The list is too long to mention! I did fall into my chair once after a night out with friends, I missed it completely and ended up on the floor and then couldnt get up and no one with me could help me up. It was funny but also somewhat embarassing but I have had many more undignified moments lol!

It was my intention to refrain from posting on this Thread altogether, but Lαrα, I had to tell you that I genuinely chuckled out loud when I read this,...together with the ‘unhappy’ face that you posted.
