Hello all! Short, seemingly meaningless question, but I need some opinions.
My boyfriend is an incomplete C5-6 quad and therefore does not have grip function in one hand and minimal grip in the other. He mentioned that he wanted to get a new lanyard and that he wanted to downsize his cath supplies backpack. So I found the following items, but need some opinions on whether they would work.
Here is the lanyard. My questions for this are:
1. Do you think the rope part is too thin and maybe too hard to grip? I was considering requesting a normal wide strap of leather, but thought the rope had a more pleasing appearance.
2. What is a good length? I notice his current lanyard is a bit long, he never wears it around his neck but instead keeps it in his pocket. It tends to annoy him with hanging down so low. I was thinking maybe 12 - 14 inches.. thoughts?
Cath Backpack -
So he recently moved to a catheterization package that is all inclusive in that it has the tubing and a back all inside a little 4x7 foil package. This cuts the need for him to carry a bottle. He mentioned he wants a smaller bag that is easier to lug around. It would need to fit the following:
Folding Tenodesis Brace
5 cath packs
Sterilizing wipes
Cath packs after usage
I found the following bags and was wondering if I could get an opinion -
