Karen67, I agree with everyone who has posted on this thread. It would be useful to others who are new to the forum, if you filled out your profile completely so that people would not have to keep asking about your injury level and extent.
There at least one website, which makes telescopes which astronomers around the world use available to amateurs. For the price of a relatively inexpensive telescope, you can control a building-sized telescope. The website is called Slooh, they have a ton of information, you can learn a lot for little or nothing. www.slooh.com
God dammit if I didn't see bright coloured stars in the sky last night, phosphorescent green, red and blue glowing like Christmas tree baubles. Then I saw a purple comet whizzing across the sky. I have got to lay off that weed I've been growing. It sure is strong stuff.

I've been using a sleep inducing variety and had some interesting experiences as I fell asleep. Lovely, really. It reminds me of a mild version of my life from 1968-1970
I step in the water, but the water has moved on...
