I bought some fresh okra today, intending to use it for its gentle laxative properties. But I started researching it and discovered that it is in the “mallow” family, as is marshmallow. The marshmallow root is used as a remedy for UTI’s. So, relating marshmallow root with okra, I searched and found...yes!...that okra is good for our kidneys.
