Have you noticed how many people start their sentences with “so”. Here we have a student doing exactly the same thing but in text. The student, who expects us to fill in a lengthily form to further their education, couldn’t even be bothered to fill in their profile information. I’m always sceptical of new people coming onto the forum who do not give any details about themselves, particularly when they want something or ask questions about sex. This particular student is doing a dissertation. If I were a tutor marking the dissertation I would be disappointed. The grammar is awful. I might excuse the student if I knew English was not their first language. But, not filling in the profile, I am unable to tell. I am another Inspired member who will not be participating in this survey, which could be completely bogus.

sjenkins17, the instructions on your survey say, “Fill in the table below with a tick in the box corresponding to your lifestyle before the accident”. On my tablet, the pdf you have sent is not interactive. Were you expecting participants to do a “copy and paste” to a Word document in order to fill it out? I use a tablet, not a computer. My tablet does not have the capacity to make a Word document.

Also, mikeq makes a good point. Your writing is strange. It isn’t of a quality that we usually see from college students or researchers. This undermines your project’s credibility.

I won’t be filling out the survey. It may be that your professor tossed you into this project without proper preparation. If so, that was inconsiderate on his part,...inconsiderate both toward you and toward those whom he expected you to interview.
