Hi everyone. I am an occupational therapist, looking to design adaptive clothing that are stylish, classy, professional. What are your thoughts on adaptive clothing you have tried? What did you like? What really didn’t work at all? How can I make it perfect for you? Welcome your ideas... even if they sound crazy and wild. In fact, those are the best ones. Thanks everyone.
Hi candyv. That sounds like a very helpful project. Especially those who are still working and meeting the public will benefit and be glad for some fresh ideas. I’m mostly at home, so I’ve fixed my dresses to have just one “large-ish” button at the back of my neck. (I’m in a wheelchair.) The dress covers my arms, my front, and my sides,...and that’s it. Easy to get dressed in the morning. But recently, because an employee stole from me, I realized that I might someday have to go to court to testify...if not in this case, for any similar problem in the future. So, having at least one “stylish, classy, professional” outfit, as you have described, would be a good idea, even for a homebody like me.
Hi, sorry to hear about having to go to court and the whole ordeal. I’m glad to hear that you made your own adaptive clothing. It would be nice for everyone to be able to choose the clothes that they want and like. Thx for your input.
