I hope to enable paraplegics to move naturally and fluidly again and believe there is a simple and quick way of doing this. And hope to see if any Engineers/Medical Practitioners/Patients have insights on my approach.
How: Using pre-created Contingent plans to autonomously control activation, frequency, and intensity of stimulus sent to spinal cord (details on stimulus device: .
Method:
1. Create Complete Contingent Plans in planning system (sample: lnkd.in/g3WdhZf) 2. Use sensors to capture motion intent (e.g. Which abdominal muscles are used + tension; HR; BR) 3. Id sensor stats associated with patient’s baseline state. During baseline state stimulus is not sent to spinal cord. 4. Id stats associated with each of the group of situations (e.g. Walking and Sitting) in attached sample. 5. Input stimulus settings that would be activated based on the situation the machine thinks the patient is in. Stimulus should replicate stimulus sent from brain if not injured. 6. Use sensor readings and previously id'd stats to id which plan (e.g. Sitting) to activate.
