hello all, got a question regarding dress shirts, the type to wear a tie with for business or events. I am getting much stronger and would like to join the living again by getting a dress shirt that may be put on easily for a man with one good hand. as all know u need 2 hands to button up your shirt, problem is i only have one. does anyone know of a website thats sells those type of shirts? something like easy button shirt or another style of shirt that may work? thanks for any input.
its easy you will see soon as you try it... you just push it threw the hole wiggle it around the button till it locks it into the wire loop and pull it back threw hole soon as you play with it im sure youll be fine
Check out IZ adaptive. They're a Canadian company and they have some dress shirts with magnetic buttons. They also have nice-ish suits that are cut specifically for us wheelchair folk.
I took a look at the IZ Adaptive website. What I'd like to be able to see how the clothes are cut out. I mean, I can sew. I've adapted a few dresses for wearing in my wheelchair. Of course, IZ Adaptive isn't in business for letting people rip off their patterns. They want to sell the clothes ready made. But if I could see where IZ Adaptive puts the seams in it's clothes, it would give me a head start in alterating more of the clothes hanging in my closet,... from before my accident.

You can reach out to them. I've done soon before, and they have me some advice on how to have some things tailored. They're super nice.

stephend, do you think they would help me with it? I can sew, but I'm not trained or professional. In fact, I've been sewing by hand. I have a sewing machine, but no space for a sewing table. It just takes me longer and my stitches aren't perfectly straight. Hardly anyone ever see me anyway.
