Good news for people with disabilities in New Zealand!
There will be a revamp of the building code that governs access for disabled people.
Building and Construction Minister Maurice Williamson says it's not acceptable that disabled people are excluded from working and living in buildings because the access is inadequate, unsafe or not suitable.
He says the building code needs to be brought up to date.
