I got the Pfizer shot 1 was at 10:00am and I got tired a few hours earlier than I normally do and my shot site was sore for about 24 hours. The 2nd shot was at 11:00am and my arm was sore for about 24 hrs then i felt nauseous 48 later and took a couple Tums which took care of it. I feel so much better emotionally and psychologically having gotten the vaccine it was worth whatever discomforts that it came with.
Thanks for this. The emotional lift the vaccinations give you is amazing! We have both had our 2nd shot now (Astra Zenica) and the second one produced no side effects at all for either of us. The mental boost is tremendous and we feel mucg safer - but we are trying to still be cautious. Things are opening up here in the UK now and we are able to do much more now. Hope you are all staying safe and well xx
I definitely share that increase in my sense of well-being. I am not generally given to fear, but this past year was an exception and I'm back to being my fearless self.
tetra That's something I had not really thought about. I am glad you are back to your normal self, but reading this gives me a whole attitude readjustment towards a few other people in my life... Thank you.

Pleased to hear that Tetra - glad you are back to being a warrior woman. Yes - the lack of knowledge or understanding re Covid has made many of us more fearful than normal. Now facing new challenges with getting out and about again. Non essential shops are now open again in the UK along with eating outside - so we slowly getting back some normality. Peter finding it tough after a year of being confined to the house and garden to be out and about again. Trying to take things slowly for him but many don't realise that it is hard after shielding for a year. Like a hostage situation . Family are expecting him to skip out into the sunlight (metaphorically ) rejoicing. But the reality is that, along with care home residents, those with illnesses and disabilities are feeling pretty challenged and need to take things slowly. We definitely feel optimistic now for the UK and US but are so sad to hear about what is happening in India and other countries. Still a long way to go.
Had second Pfizer on Feb. 13. Other than a sore arm for a day, the only side effect was tremendous relief! Hubs had the same vaccine at the same time and had no side effects to speak of. We feel fortunate to have been able to drive up to the location and a friendly vaccinator gave us the sticks while we were still in the car. I thought we would feel elated after so much worry and care, but it was mostly relief, which made me realize how much the concern for safety had preoccupied our time the past year.Stay well, y'all.

I took the same vaccine; after the first jab, I was feeling very drowsy and had pain at the site of the injection. Other than this, I did not experience any severe side effects. After the second jab, everything was fine. The side effects may vary in each person.
I recommend reading 'State of Fear' by Laura Dodsworth. It gives you an insight into the way governments use psychological fear tactics to make the populace compliant. A fascinating read
