deanertheweiner, these pictures and videos are great! It's crazy how much you can see the improvement/progression you've gotten just from this year alone and it's been almost 3 years since your injury! The first video you are able to only take a few steps. The last video you're speed walking. Keep up the great work Dean, you'll be walking normal in no time
deanertheweiner....aww damn...when i started to watch the first vid i had tears.... .and they carried on as i watched the others.....that was touching.(i am emotionally expressive when moved...often lol but not always so easily)
I felt a mixture of admiration....and pride...sad (a little). I could see the quiet determination and those steps were so hard worked for....good for you Deaner!!! and so WELL DONE to you. You must be so proud of yourself....
I dont have anything else i can say.... that was amazing to watch,.....thankyou for sharing
Lαrα and Butiki, I was there when deanertheweiner first came to rehab, no matter when you see him, he's always got the biggest smile on his face! He had such a positive attitude it made everyone else that saw him smile as well. At rehab he should have had a power chair but instead he decided you take a manual chair. He took off his leg rests and he moved around just using his legs. Even though it took him 30 minutes to get from his room to the gym, he was motivated to use his legs. If anyone was looking for Dean there's only one place you could find him. In the gym! He was constantly working out and when you look at it now, all that working out has certainly payed off!

Thanks everyone! I've definitely made some great progress in my recovery. Honestly I'm just happy to live in canada where there's so many great services available to make recoveries like mine possible. I'm not trying to be inspirational, I'm just trying to regain my independence with the movements that were preserved after my accident. I'm glad I have that effect on people and I hope it motivates others to never give up!
Keep posted, I'll be posting here again in the near future!
Deane, you don't have to try to inspirational, just watching your videos gets me going. I'm just home after physio and I walked twice the distance that I normally do and only because I watched you mate. I have not been to physio for two weeks because of my bowels, but today I just thought of you and did it.
By the the way you better start posting if your going to get to 200 posts before me.
Butiki, I'm really happy to hear that! Good for you buddy, keep up the hard work deanertheweiner, look at the ways you're inspiring others! It much be a really nice feeling
