Its real cool isnt it Butiki....I remember one guy in my rehab unit who had a ball under his chin to assist him in moving his chair and i though how difficult it must be and what a shame that this is the only way that he can get about independently....he had no hand function.
So i think that when this technology shown in the video becomes available, there are going to be a significant amount of people at this level who will be much happier with this option
Wow this is excellent technology! I know deanertheweiner is currently looking into a chair with head controls but he'd greatly benefit from something like this! I hope they release this item soon, there'll be so many people in this world that'll benefit from it

I wanna walk again so I'm not giving up just because I'm getting the motor wheelchair. I just miss the independence of going out when I please without someone pushing me.
My appointment is on November 25th. I'll let you know how the head controls work and how I like it! Plus any other things that come up .

No, you should never let the thought of giving-up cross your mind. There's a lot of research & clinical trials into SCI recovery taking place at the moment and, sooner or later, there are bound to be breakthroughs and advances.
That aside, SCI recovery should be a part of your daily routine with assisted exercise and neuroplasticity. Recovery at any level; just doing something as basic as moving a toe or finger today when you couldn't do it yesterday, is a milestone.
That aside, it's always reassuring to see new equipment coming onto the market to assist SCI victims ahead of recovery.
