Just had The Surge push rims fitted to my chair this morning, and wow what a difference they make, i'm lucky that I got funding for them, although they are not that bad, $300 witch I think is fair considering how much other disability stuff can cost. They make pushing the chair so much easier and so much more comfortable and much much easier on your hands and they don't slip, only had them on for a few hours and I would recommend them very very much
That's great to hear Butiki I had to look up what those are because I've never heard of them before and they certainly look very useful and easy of the hand. Here's a link if anyone wants to check these out - Surge Hand Rims.
I've only had these push rims on for 24 hours and what a difference they make, they are nearly as liberating as the freewheel. For those of us looking for a better push rim you cannot go past these, well priced and very comfortable and make getting around so much easier, these push rims and the freewheel are absolute musts on your wheelchair.
I can not tell you all enough how much these push rims have improved the pain in my hands, there is none now, before i got a very bad ache right across the palms of my hands, but it's completely gone now, that you to whoever invented these push rims.

That's great to hear Butiki! I'm happy they're working out for you
