Later today i heard back from the organizer to arrange to go along and play wheelchair basketball in January..and now i cant wait!! ...
Ever since i was in rehab and played sports its been on my mind now and then to find out how i can get involved in playing a sport. I love love love the sports chairs, the speed you can pick up in then is amazing..its great to feel the speed.
You don't need to have your own chair as they will provide...I have the number if anyone fancies coming along, it is in Lancaster which is pretty much central for anyone living in Lancashire .
Tried a few sports in Odstock - football was manic - the physios had to stop us ramming each other through the windows . . . we didn't use sports chairs either, apparently it's not the done thing to push someones brakes on so you can pinch the ball off them . . .
Haha hobbit, i played rugby in my unit and cheated often, i would nearly fall out of my chair to 'take' the ball off the opposition lol ...very bad Lαrα
