For years, the vehicles I drove were straight off the lot. I can still use the accelerator and brake with my right foot but I started to get uncomfortable after I started using a chair full time. I got a Chrysler Town & Country and had the floor lowered, kneeling, MTD hand controls, 50% reduced steering, auxiliary power steering pump, a steering wheel spinner and a toggle switch for the parking brake. I used to drive around 26,000 miles per years and now I average around 3,500 miles a year being retired. I am too old to worry about how I look as now I go for creature comforts.
Good luck.

Millard, as long as you're comfortable, it's all good Town & Country's are nice vans!
We have a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew with the BraunAbility conversion. It's a great van and although I can't drive it yet, I will be able to drive it in the future
That's great hobbit! I wish I could drive a standard, or a regular car without adaptions at the least
Speed control lets set the speed your traveling at...works great on longer trips where the speed is constant..like the inter state. You don't have use the gas peddle

cbdives, Yes, this feature would really save your energy! DJ, this is a must have for you, and probably is included in your conversion. I have it on my car, but never tried it AB and need to try it now!!!!
I forgot to mention another thing I have, but no photo of it--rain-sensing device that sticks to side of windshield and turns on my wipers as needed, with on/off switch in dashboard. This may not sound like much, but besides being convenient, it operates the wipers in an intermittent fashion that doesn't put mesmerize me like the regular rhythm of normal operation!!!!
wavewolf, I don't think it's different in the US but I think cruise control is a standard feature in cars for almost 15 years! It's great technology though, it'll definitely make things easier
Also, rain sensing wipers are standard in most newer cars these days. That's also another very helpful feature!
It's amazing how much technology has progressed in such little time. Soon we'll see the Google self driving cars everywhere

I have the same (2013). I hate it. I've probably used it four times in three months. I guess I'm still angry.

I have a patent using GPS to determine location and along with a speed limit database notify the driver or control the speed of the vehicle to prevent exceeding the speed limit.
