I did not know protein helps preserve muscle interesting thank you. Is there any kind of protein better than another? I was thinking protein from eating too much meat may not be good? I have to say I am a cannibal I love my meat sorry to all my veggie friends

As for the protein, try for lean proteins, but too much can constipate you. If I eat sushi, which is very high in protein because of the fish, I get constipated. Just gotta stay on a balanced diet, but cutting back on simple carbs like sugars and breads (and donuts ) will help keep the pounds off.
