deanertheweiner, you are a very wise young man, it's a pity that young people just don't think of the consequences of their actions (and older people for that matter). So I hope everyone takes notice of this post.
Thank you my Australian friend! Like I said I can't force people to do the right thing, I just lay out your options and state the possible consequences for your decision.
Do something today that your future self will thank you for.
Yes deanertheweiner, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. It is so frustrating to see people drink driving time and time again, where I live drink driving is a major issue, we have a large indigenous population and unfortunately they don't seem to care about what can happen driving drunk and driving unregistered and unroadworthy vehicles. So many have lost family members but they just continue to brake the law and put lives at risk. And what really upsets me is that the driver usually survives and the kids get killed, very very sad.
deanertheweiner I thought i would take a look at the statistics on RTA deaths and drink driving here in the UK. Seems we arent quite getting the message lately
Seems there was a significant decline over the years but then recently increased again...i wonder what the statistics are for other countries?
The number of deaths in drink-drive accidents on Britain's roads soared by 26% in 2012, provisional figures show.
A total of 290 people were killed last year, compared with 230 in 2011, the Department for Transport (DfT) said.
It also said 6,6.80 accidents in 2012 were linked to alcohol consumption. Since records began in 1979, when there were 1,640 drink-drive deaths, the number has shown a general trend of declining. The 2011 total was the lowest recorded

Lαrα in Canada an average of 3 people a day die caused from someone drinking and driving. 175 people are injured by drinking and driving on average per day.
Those numbers scare the crap out of me.

That can't be right? Is it really every day or is that a number per week?!
