I went to Kessler in West Orange, NJ after my ICU stay and i did therapy on the spinal floor for 3 months as an inpatient. I later returned and did another 7 months of outpatient therapy. Kessler is ranked second best rehabilitation center in the country and they truly live up to their reputation. I made some great friends there, learned a lot about SCI, and even made significant progress while i was there. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable, and they have state of the art rehab equipment.
Good stuff jerseyboy, thanks for sharing! How much do you feel you've improved through inpatient and outpatient rehab?
Well i went from being almost fully paralyzed from the neck down to walking unassisted over the period of 1.75 years in which i had constant therapy. SCI is still SCI and i still have many issues, but overall i think my hard work has paid off.
That's definitely great improvement and it's good to hear the hard work has payed off! Do you currently do private physiotherapy or do you do the workouts yourself?

I actually quit therapy recently since i started college again. My college has a gym and pool thats free to students so i work out on my own now. I used to work out on my own even when i was in therapy though so not a very big change.
