I've noticed this issue myself when I go places but it seems like it's a problem everywhere!
SALT LAKE CITY — Finding a parking spot can be tricky after a major snowstorm. Many spots are covered in snow and ice, and mountains of snow can be seen all over the lot.
It can be even harder for people who rely on accessible parking spaces.
The Americans with Disabilities Act requires businesses to clear these parking spaces and entrances to their buildings. But Maggie Anderson said she and others with disabilities have noticed that many parking spaces are often covered with snow and ice, making it difficult and sometimes dangerous to try and get inside a business.
Anderson, a graduate student in social work at the University of Utah, suffered a spinal cord injury in a car accident 10 years ago. She said many people still do not think about the rights of people with disabilities.
Anderson, who said she just wants to be as independent as possible and be able to maneuver as part of the community, took photographs following a recent snowstorm in Salt lake City because she could not park in several lots.
DJ, I'm almost always covered in snow when I go out, not just my wheels! Lol!
Haha yeah I guess my feet end up getting covered in snow too.
Loading my snow-covered wheels over top of myself into my truck makes me look like I've been making snow angels! More often than not, there is a nice amount of mud and wet gravel stuck to the tops of my thighs.

Oh I never thought about that! I guess we have to do it if we have to do it eh?
In my town handicapped parking spots are often piles with AB driver's cars DJ, it drives me insane.
That's exactly why I don't use handicap spots, I leave them for the AB's , instead I take 2 of the regular spots. I have a full size van with a side lift and the handicap spots aren't wide enough if the next spot parks to close to the line I can't get in, this happened once and never again. I take the 2 closest AB spots together and park angled across them, now no one can block me in, I have my handicap sticker on the dash and it's never been a problem here or the states ( live in border town)

Will
Haha good idea willvape! The worst thing is how they look at us for parking like that on "their" spot but if they park on the disabled spot then it's ok
