The countdown is now on for the Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, Russia and will take place 7-16 March.
Sochi 2014 Torch Relay
The Paralympic Torch Relay will pass through all eight of Russia's Federal Districts. Between February 26 and March 7 2013, more than 1,000 torchbearers will carry the Paralympic Torch through at least 50 Russian regions. The relay will come to its conclusion at the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Sochi.
Every day, the Paralympic flame will be lit simultaneously in several Russian cities, so that at the end of the relay, thanks to the Paralympic flame "unification" ceremony, it will reach the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Sochi.
