I never digged into how "more than $71 million for scientific research" have been actually spent, I cant find on the web anything at the moment.

Yeah they explain it sometimes and most people are accepting even though they can't make any sense of what research is going on. Hey the first thing a doctor learns is how to give big names to simple things so we think they know what they are doing.
Most people don't understand the research and that's why we need TRUSTED experts to help us sought through what's being offered out there and what would be good to promote.
